It’s official the UK is now regarded as a third world country ! A&E is a disgusting room which is too small and not fit for purpose. There is no air conditioning for people who are sometimes waiting in excess of 15 hours to see a doctor. Nothing is being done to improve the situation and incompetent senior management and the Welsh Govt are responsible for this. A&E at the Grange covers too large an area as Nevill Hall was never this bad. It’s like walking into a war zone in a desperately poor country. And chaos with ambulances which is leading to the early death of people some of whom could be saved. Something has to be done. The hospital cannot carry on functioning in this way !

This hospital needs a total rethink. It cost £350m to house apathetic staff. There is no empathy it is just full of people ticking boxes and following process. If you can avoid I would advise as no matter how many times you come in with the same issue, you will be processed exactly the same every time and get nowhere. What an absolute waste of public funds.

I am disgusted that this new hospital has no female toilets they have literally taken them away and now have unisex toilets for everyone to use i am a child abuse survivor and I never thought in a million years the health authority could ever be so cruel as to do this, When visiting this hospital I saw a lady leave the toilet area and went into the toilets she came out of thinking I was in a safe female space whilst in the toilet I heard a man clearing his throat and I froze I was petrified I couldn't work out what was going on and why there was man in there I waited and waited having to listen to this man do his business whilst been so scared I couldn't move untill I was sure he had left. This has really affected me I never thought anything like this could happen being in a hospital how dare they remove a safe space for women especially women like men it's pure evil shame on you! I will never consciously step foot in that hospital or any other without female toilets again it might no be an issue for some but for someone like me it has scared me for life I am so upset by this so upset it was so traumatic. Political issues should not be making way in to our hospitals i am besides my self SHAME ON YOU

I had a serious fall and broke ribs and punctured my lung, half of the lung drain was left in accidentally when I struggled in excruciating pain I rang and told them and they bizarrely told me I signed myself out (what idiot would do or could do that with those injuries but they then said I was rude on the phone and to go tell my GP , I live on the top floor of my building without a lift, when I told him this he said it was not his problem. Completely astonishing unprofessional attitude, I’ve paid into my national health since I left school at 16 years old , seriously I expected better humane treatment.

My mum was admitted to this dump at the start of the year with sepsis and it was an utter shambles from start to finish. Staff rude, and not caring like they should be. Mum was admitted again yesterday with a broken hip, she waited for an ambulance for 17 hours to end up going to the grange again, and staff at A+E were uncaring and rude, did not keep you updated on anything. She had to lie in a stretcher for hours on end in severe pain and discomfort. Utter shambles of a hospital, never experienced such a bad hospital in all my life, if wasn't so serious it would be laughable at how bad they really are.

My son recently attended the grange A&E. The staff were brilliant , caring and compassionate and kept you informed at all times. It was a very stressful time but they were brilliant. Special mention has to be made of Lisa Hancock in majors and Megan(sorry didn’t catch her surname) who went above and beyond whilst my son was in majors. Also the doctors that he daw

I was informed all along the way what was happening and in layman’s terms so I felt part of it all and not talked about as if I wasn’t there. The staff were very caring.

Had a horrible experience in this hospit al. Waited 11 hours between treatments. Had to keep asking for information a nd pain relief but when requested Dr or nurse wouldn't be seen again! Not kept informed at all about anything and sitting there for hours on end with people going far too fast with trolleys and wheelchairs just missing your Legs by inches! Can barely move when your wheeled into an office to see Dr my son had to help move furniture about to get some space. A total shambles hope I never have to go there again.

I was initially lied too about how far I was and offered an induction which failed after 24 hours. Nurse said due to a pre existing condition she would not be comfortable with continuing the induction (which is fine had a c section) However the recovery ward is disgusting not the day staff but the night. Completely ruined my chances to breastfeed as wouldn't help my daughter latch and had disgusting attitude. Honestly put me off ever going there again and still having issues after my op.
